Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance (QA) Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure products and services meet NRCan’s standards and regulatory requirements.
· Conduct regular audits, inspections, and reviews of projects and services to ensure compliance with quality standards.
· Identify areas of improvement in service delivery, product development, and operational procedures.
· Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define quality criteria and metrics for NRCan projects.
· Lead the development and maintenance of QA documentation, including testing plans, reports, and quality control metrics.
· Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and outcomes.
· Provide training and support to staff regarding best practices in QA and continuous improvement processes.
2. Service Operations Management (SOM) Responsibilities:
· Oversee the daily operations of service delivery teams to ensure that services are provided efficiently and meet operational standards.
· Monitor and track service performance, identifying any issues or opportunities for improvement.
· Develop and maintain operational strategies to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
· Manage relationships with stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and internal departments, to ensure expectations are met.
· Ensure that all service operations are aligned with NRCan's broader goals, policies, and objectives.
· Lead and mentor a team of service operations staff, providing guidance and training to optimize their performance.
· Manage escalations and coordinate responses to operational issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
· Regularly report on service performance, quality metrics, and operational improvements to senior management.
Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Service Organization Manager (SOM) and Quality Assurance (QA) with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan)
Strong understanding of energy-efficient building practices, energy audits, and building science principles.
Knowledge of energy-efficiency incentives, rebate programs, and government regulations related to energy conservation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients and provide clear explanations of energy efficiency concepts.
Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and evaluate building systems for energy performance.
Proficient in energy audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Previous experience in energy consulting, auditing, or related fields is Required.
